Exodus 40:36-38 ESV
“Throughout all their journeys, whenever the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the people of Israel would set out. But if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not set out till the day that it was taken up. For the cloud of the Lord was on the tabernacle by day, and fire was in it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel throughout all their journeys.”
The people of Isreal followed God not necessarily knowing the way they were going. They would stay when His presence stayed and followed when He moved.
This is the desire of my heart, to stay when the Lord stays and move when the Lord moves. People ask how long will I be in Ecuador for, my plan is two years but in reality it depends on if the cloud stays there so to speak. I will wait as long as God has me, and move when I see Him move… until He brings me to the promised land of rest. Whenever and where ever that will be.
My encouragement to you is to watch the Lord move and then to follow. And to wait when you see Him waiting.
Psalm 32:8-9 NKJV
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. Do not be like the horse or like the mule, Which have no understanding, Which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, Else they will not come near you.”
