Houses and wealth are inherited from parents, but a prudent wife is from the LORD. –Proverbs 19:14

This is my favorite Proverb. I wanted to take a brief break from our study in the sermon on the mount to remind all those other fellow single believers out there to keep waiting for the right person.

It can be difficult, and it can be extremely lonely, but God has promised for the inheritance of His children something much better than wealth and houses. He has promised a prudent spouse for you. It is His responsibility to make this come to pass, and in His timing He will.

I personally have been waiting for the right woman since I was 17- which was 8 years ago. I have long since found contentment in the Lord and despite the age old Christianeze saying that the right person will come once you are finally content with just the Lord, here I am… still waiting.

What a rich inheritance that awaits the children of the Lord though. A spouse who will be prudent and chosen by the very maker of our souls.

Trust the Lord, and in His timing. Be encouraged, even if you have been waiting all your life. God still has the perfect person for you.
