Jeremiah 1:4-10 NKJV
“Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations. Then said I: Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth. But the Lord said to me: Do not say, I am a youth, For you shall go to all to whom I send you, And whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of their faces, For I am with you to deliver you, says the Lord. Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me: Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, To root out and to pull down, To destroy and to throw down, To build and to plant.”
When the Lord called me to this ministry of speaking His Word to the nations this was the main verse He used to do so. I felt just as Jeremiah did, a youth not knowing what to speak or what to say. But the crazy thing is God has done just as He said He would. He has put His Words in my mouth and is sending me to the nations, starting with Cuenca, Ecuador where I lived for a year speaking and preaching to the nations. Now, I have moved back home to California and will see where God will lead me. One step at a time.
I am no one special, I’m just a young guy from a small town in Southern California with a normal family and a normal childhood. I am just willing is all, and that’s all it takes to serve God. Willingness.
My heart is to speak comfort and encouragement to weary hearts, hope to the hopeless, strength to the weak, love to the loveless, rebuke to the proud, instruction to the wise, and a good word in season to them that need to hear it. I desire to preach the gospel of Jesus to all who would hear it and to teach the Bible to any that want to know it. Another hope of mine is to see more unity in the body of Christ. All these things are found in the word of God and received by the grace enabled by the gift and sacrifice of God’s Son Jesus Christ.
My prayer is that you would be encouraged as you read these blogs and challenged to answer the call to live as God has called us to live.
Matthew 28:18-20 NKJV
“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.”
Isaiah 40:1 NKJV
“Comfort, yes, comfort My people! Says your God.”
Isaiah 35:3-4 NKJV
“Strengthen the weak hands, And make firm the feeble knees. Say to those who are fearful-hearted, Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, With the recompense of God; He will come and save you.”
Isaiah 41:9-10 NKJV
“You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, And called from its farthest regions, And said to you, You are My servant, I have chosen you and have not cast you away: Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”
Isaiah 50:4 NKJV
“The Lord God has given Me The tongue of the learned, That I should know how to speak A word in season to him who is weary. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear To hear as the learned.”
Luke 3:4-6 NKJV
“as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, saying: The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord; Make His paths straight. Every valley shall be filled And every mountain and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight And the rough ways smooth; And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.”
