More to Life

There’s more to today,
Than just making it to tomorrow.
There’s more to life,
Than just moving forward.

There’s more to life,
Than living for the weekend.
There’s more to life,
Than just seeking pleasure.

There’s joy through pain,
There’s love through suffering,
There’s satisfaction through surrender.
There’s a reward found only in helping others.

There’s more than just drinking,
There’s more than just sleeping,
There’s more than just hoping,
And there’s more than just longing.

You won’t find it in a spouse,
Won’t find it in a house,
Won’t find it in a car,
But the secret is, it’s not far.

You ask of life, “What’s the purpose of it all?”
Well, this my friend, is it…
The only thing that is worth living for,
Is Him whom you He died for.

When you meet the Anointed,
Upon your mind day will dawn.
…You never knew what to live for,
Because you never really lived…

“I protest, I protest” speaks forced lips.
Yet your eyes betray you,
Your a walking corpse,
Lifeless…

Your bones are dry,
and your heart grown cold.
Your lungs gasp,
Your weary souls thirsts.

Come, drink of the Fount of Life,

Rushing water, quickening aright.
New birth, new light,
Eternal delight.

So come to the Fount of Life.

So that way tomorrow you’ll say,
There’s more to life,
Than just making it till tomorrow,
And that you’ve found joy in moving forward.
